What is hypnotherapy used for?

Hypnotherapy can be used for many psychological, emotional and physical disorders. It is used to relieve chronic pain, recurrent acute pain, pain from psychosomatic problems, (migraines, fibromyalgia, cancer pain, etc.), to prepare for childbirth, and to reduce the need for analgesics.

In psychotherapy, Hypnosis has been shown to be effective for the treatment of the following:

Are there any contraindications to hypnosis treatment.

Like any other treatment , hypnotherapy has its own contraindications. The list below contains a list of conditions for which hypnosis treatment is not recommended:

  • endogenous (psychotic) depression
  • psychoses, in particular delusional, hallucinatory state, schizophrenia, schizoaffective psychosis, manic-depressive psychosis
  • acute states of anxiety, fear, anxiety
  • epilepsy
  • psychoorganic syndrome
  • personality disorders of the schizoid, epileptoid, organic spectrum
